The second part of this weeks Holby kicks off with a quick reminder of the "story-so-far".
Donna and Maria have become trapped in a lift with an patient. However they weren't trapped for long and the scenes almost seemed pointless, thought Donna may have proved herself to Maria while helping with the treatment of the trapped patient. Things didn't get any better for Donna, as she was told of Mia going missing while a paedophile was roaming free.
The paedophile in question was, however, only trying to help the hospital by getting cables and equipment sorted from "an aquaintance". Mia was soon found by Greg from Paediatrics who brought her back down to Keller.
Back in theatre, Connie and Joseph were struggling to continue operating on Elaine, while the back-up generators also began to fail. It's not surprising as the generators were housed in the basement, which is going to be the first place to flood. After much argument, it is finally decided that Elaine should be moved. On the way it is discovered that the tube enabling her to breathe, has not been working properly, causing her to crash. They manage to regain a rhythm but it is now likely that Elaine will be left with some brain damage. Connie is left feeling emotional and drained when we last see her.
Mark finally manages to arrange cables to be brought to the hospital and power is restored to the wards. It is left clear that he will probably get the role of CEO.
Seeing how much Donna needs the job, Maria decides to accept the job in Tanzinia and we see her driving off into the night.
The second part was rather good, ensuring that it tied up al the loose ends of the first part. It was sad to see the back of Maria because I am not sure if Donna will be the same Donna that we all know and love without her. I guess we'll just have to wait and see...
